Re: Hi Temp Bellows

Those are nice looking bellows mastrovetraio,

Where did you get them?
I am interested in obtaining some high temp silicone bellows like this.
Even bigger ones would be nice eg. 200+ mm would suit my current project...
Could you tell us where you obtained yours from?

Thanks

I know its not directly related to 'stirling engine vehicles' but I feel these animated gifs are great for helping to figure out stirling engine functions in general, especially for those of us that are inclined to use visualisation to help assist our understanding of different mechanisms and also t...

Hey Hopper Ian & Triangle, Not been on this thread for a bit but noticed that Kockums were meant to be doing an A26 sub with stirling auxiliary, but the new (german) owners may not proceed. and Hopper, It will be interesting to see if if our new subs from japan (if we do finally acquire them) come w...

Congratulations!! Exciting stuff... Looking forward to learn more about this engine and see how she performs. Have you got any videos of it performing in its final incarnation under real life loads? or even better, using something like a welder while starting a compressor or pump and/or using a vacu...

Re: Alpha Stirling Engine Project

Hey Connor, Here's a few suggestions that might be worth considering.. A regenerator might be worth trying. You could fill your tube with material from a s/steel scourer pad, maybe the first clear tube would allow a good fill factor without choking airflow too much. Experiment with the phase angle, ...

That's an interesting approach. Turning things inside out could make for a very compact burner and heat exchange system..
Nice..

Re: Dual Acting Cylinders

Hey Guys, I think the configuration is referred to as a Siemins or also a Rinia type. By having four double acting cylinders you can configure a 90deg relationship, also if you use a 3 cylinder configuration it operates at a 120deg relationship which is potentially a better ratio for an alpha engine...

Hey derwood, I'm a bug fan (former vw campervan owner and restorer), so kudos for your adaptation.. Not sure if this can help you with your pressurized engine but I've been messing around with chopping up and adapting gas struts and also shock absorbers for my seals and shafts, they make an awesome ...
