Re: Theoretical concept of new invented hot air engine.
Spend a little more energy and turned it rights way round, simplified it and less of an eyesore to look at. Maybe 3" diaphragm (bicycle inner tube) 3/4 valve, 10cm (4") pendulum, will see.. Edit: May need a bigger pendulum http://www.calctool.org/CALC/phys/newtonian/pendulum https://i.ibb....

Theoretical concept of new invented hot air engine.
Once I have access to my tools (sometime in spring) I will physical build it. It be extremely difficult to tune I expect and will spend more time with calibrating than actually building. Like a kids swing, when on top give it a little notch To my knowledge no such engine exist. https://i.ibb.co/pjv1...

Re: Making strong rubber/silicone diaphragms
Wenn time comes and this covid junk is done with i will simply use inner tubes from tires. Inner tubes are made with butyl or sometimes latex. The closer to the limit of the rubber temperature range, the faster the material will degrade. Silicone and butyl have the same maximum elongation 800%, chan...

That is one of the better builds, still room for improvements, but innovative. https://youtu.be/BNvJwhhFK6U Google translate For those wishing to copy: The length of the steel working piston is 18, the diameter is 16, the stroke is 42, the length of the connecting rod is 107. The stroke is adjustabl...

Hybridizing is giving a boost to the ICE. It is hoped that it will boost the Stirling Engine as well. I am confident it will boost the Stirling Engine because it has significant advantages but it is only do-able with a hybrid configuration. Here is another video of the 54 hp stirling https://youtu....

^^^ Nice one 50 led's is a lot but the flame does seem considerable bigger as a burning candle. I noticed in comments people still rave on about the Tesla turbine. The reason why there no real use for it to this day is because it is about as unnatural as it gets. Turbos and such resemble more a &quo...

Re: Liquid Heating/Cooling of Hot/Cold Alpha Stirling Engine Cylinders?
Nice one, as i say short stroke and big bore is way to go. Isn't the "dwell" period changing the time interval like a ross yoke linked? Chris claims changing engine to ross yoke link improved efficency a lot https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLzFi9aZcBM Most popular '3 phase' (ross yoke link...
