Re: Displacer and Piston Diameter

So I have found some calculations and done more reading. But I'm still slightly confused. Due to my design being a rhombic drive the piston and displacer stroke are the same length. Using some rhombic drive calculations I have ended up with a stroke of 0.24m (for the example I'm currently trying) an...

Displacer and Piston Diameter

Hi,

I am creating a beta Stirling engine and was wondering if there was a good calculation for working out the Displacer and Piston diameter?

Thanks!

Rhombic Drive Design Books

Hi all, I am currently designing a rhombic drive beta type Stirling engine as my dissertation project. I have found several good books on how to design the beta type engine, but I cannot find anything on how to design the rhombic drive. Does anyone know of any good resources, preferably books or pap...

Re: Registering, and Deactivated...New Members PLEASE read!

Hi,

My engineering dissertation is on designing and building a rapid prototype of a beta-type Stirling engine. My dissertation supervisor recommended I sign up to this forum in case I have any design questions that people here might be able to help with.

Thank you for this forum.
