Does anyone know of a better way to remove the burrs after you cut this tube ?
I've been running a knife around the inside of the tube to get rid of the burrs, but
I'm sure there must be a better way ?

Re: Troubleshooting my tin can Stirling
That copper piston looks rough, did you sand it to size ? Have you tried submerging the WHOLE engine in HOT water to check for air leaks ?

I saw one like this on youtube, but I can't find it now.
It is out there somewhere! If I find it I'll let you know.

Re: My "inventions"
You video barely explains anything about what's special about your idea or why it might be
worthy of a donation ? The video is really vague, and drawn out (I had to skip a lot of it)
Care to elaborate ?
The only thing I can guess is you're going to alternately heat and cool a cylinder ?

Re: Stirling Engine Thesis
Will you be showing us photo's of the construction process ? Is the engine going to pressurized with some exotic gas.
Were those Phillips engines pressurized ?

Re: My 2nd LTD engine
Thanks for the plans really helpful. You should post them on a website like instructables  I will be having a go at building this sometime. One thing though, I had to rename all of your image files from upper case to lower case to get them to load in the html, could be because I'm using Linux ...

That's a really nice engine. It's inspired me to make one along the same lines, can you tell me what you made the displacer out of ?

Re: Building a Solar powered Stirling engine - Where to start?
You have a look at this. All simple solar engines, that don't require any machine tools.
