Re: Big Beta Stirling 1kw, 100degC to 400degC

Here is excel with correct values you will find arm L disconnected - also how do specify arm angle? In my design it's 90deg, but in excel I don't see this option to be specified... Zhivko because this is modified ross-yoke xcl sheet i did not put option to change L arm angle, I will try to solve th...

Re: Big Beta Stirling 1kw, 100degC to 400degC

If that drawing is to scale, the displacer should be much longer. I don't understand what you mean,"my linkage is rotated 90* (vertical engine). Ian S C "my linkage is rotated 90*" that means that pistons goes up and down not left and right like in zivko engine on pictures. in excel ...

Re: Big Beta Stirling 1kw, 100degC to 400degC

zivko today I made two excel sheets first file(stirling pistons beta) you can see ratio of strokes(if piston stroke is same) in your beta engine to get volume ratios of 1.5 recomended for high temperature engine. (calculator which you used is made for gama engine) second file(zivko) I modified ross ...

Re: Solar Powered Water Pump - Sterling Engine?

This is great! Thank you so much, I will definitely read more about the "SunPulse Water and Spring Rebound Inertia Pump" but what you personally recommend we use in our case, fluidyne? (no electricity, strictly thermal, minimum costs) ? Kind regards, Ahmed Al Haddad On your place I would ...

Re: Solar Powered Water Pump - Sterling Engine?

Hi Ahmed For your application if we assume that you have average 11suny hours and lifting height of 8.5m you need theoreticaly 110 W of power (whitout loses). Pump that is nearest to your is this : http://www.tamera.org/index.php?id=886 this pump has 300W. If you want fluidyne pump http://www.google...

Re: metal sheet spining

Thank you Jan I did not try jet to form cap with hammer. That is simplest way to get cap. But I was thinking on similar way, cap with lathe is complicated to make and expensive, and relatively heavy. JAN do you have any experience how much would last aluminum cap (0.8mm) on hot end of displacer on w...
