oki, then you need to check resistance in your bearings,oil them and oil you rods, so they will run easy and then you clean you piston&cylinder with alcohol, so the oil is out of there, then it will start..if not,give it some more heat, and some ice cubes on the cold end, then we can work from t...

by heating tube, do you mean the cylinder, the only place where it shall leak is where the rod goes inside to the displacer/piston, and the leak is minimal, i use to put them machines under water, and then i blow in the displacer/piston tube..

i just made the new aluminium lid, i got the aluminium from an old moped piston,it is a perfect fit, and i shall glue it with shaft lock Loctite,is that right??, will that loctite,stand alot of heat??

Thanks for reply Ian S C, i have startet to do what you said, i have shaved about 1.3mm of the inner walls of the Displacer, and now it is about 0.6mm thick.i need get it in the 4 jaw chuck if you mean that i need to have thinner Displacer walls..i will make the lid of aluminium and i am thinking to...

i have made som more parts, and the cylinder is done,i will make steel parts after if it will be a good engine, but the brass is what i have now.

Thanks for reply ian, i have started on a new engine, i know that brass is not the best cylinder material, but i was i got,and i will make new parts in steel if it turns out good.this is the parts i have made now.

I could not get my last small engine to start,and then i found a nice pice of brass,so i started on a new one,it shall have a 40mm bore, and the cylinder shall be 125mm-130mm long,and the displacer shall be 80mm long, and i am also thinking of making the piston in brass, with 1.5mm-2mm clearance bet...
