Test#2.
My heat tube is 3/4" diameter and about 8" long. Half filled with pot scrubber. Larger choke hole no better.
Tried tea light candle n/g, then propane torch, red hot, n/g.
Wondering what I should be looking for if I'm going in the right direction or just spinning my wheels.

@ian sc Okay, i was looking at what was readily available and easy to fabricate and i forgot about copper spreading the heat. I just wonder how i would seal the ends , maybe compression fittings? I cant weld stainless steel. I wonder if high temp silicone sealer like the type used for internal combu...

What about ratios of displacer to power piston and the size of the ports? Are bigger ports better? I cant even get it to run at all. My first attempts were with rubber diaphragms which didnt work for some reason , so i thought i would try a piston instead.

Im no expert on this by a long shot, but i tought the displacer had to displace or move air. Allow air to pass around etc.
