Re: MPPT for Stirling Engines
Hello again guys, When I first read this and responded to the post, I hadn’t read anything about MPPT controllers. They are not what I describe! From what I just read on MPPT controllers for solar, these are simply DC-DC converters that try to match the photo cell optimal voltage (17V) to the optima...

Thanks Gents,
I had not noticed he had changed his post from 20BTU to 20kBTU. Suspect he looked at my calculations a bit closer and hammered his engineers...

Re: Stirling Engines with Supercritical Fluids?
Hi Blade, I helped a buddy with a supercritical gas project a few months back and was introduced to it then. They filled a container via a supercritical process that blew my mind. A seal for gas/liquid CO2 might not seal with supercritical CO2. I wish I could say more on this… I did find a SUPERCOOL...

Re: MPPT for Stirling Engines
Hello Vamoose, I know almost absolutely nothing about building a Stirling engine, but have done motion controls and designed control systems for over 25 years. I suspect the type of control algorithm your MPPT would want to use is not much different than the “dither and lock” controllers I have crea...

Big Stirling Engine
Hello to all, First off, thank you to Boydhouse for sponsoring this fine forum giving newbie’s like me a chance to read, learn and ask questions to some incredibly talented, experienced and intelligent folks. I just joined the forum having recently fully contracted Stirling Motor disease, but have k...
