In attachment I put some idea about mandrel and finished piece for displacer chamber with flange. I don't know is it taper of side walls necessary. this is link: http://www.stanford.edu/group/prl/documents/pdf/spinning.pdf they say that austenitic stainless steel 201 and 301 are very good for spinni...

metal sheet spining
Hy people
Is it anybody try to spin stailess steel metal sheet (for example tickness 0.5mm) to produce displacer / displacer chamber
some restrictions of this process?
of course it is necessary to have lathe

rotary displacer stirling engine
I found this page
http://www.bekkoame.ne.jp/~khirata/english/mk_rot.htm
is it anyone build this type of engine, and is it comparable with classic type of engine by torque and power for same volume (of engine)
it seams to me like very compact design
please comment.

Re: My new stirling project
Big letter FI (Ø) is sign for diameter, I don't know is that sign used in inch measures.presentteck wrote:is ∮ = to MM? havnt seen it before and google wolnt search it
Dimensions are in mm because this bearing is part of RC helicopter, and bearing of OD 5" is little big :)

Re: help needed
ganuganu Can of axe deo-spray is tick aluminium can. That types of can conduct heat very fast, besides it is relatively low, that means that temperature difference between top and botom is low. My advice is if you measure (feel) high temperature on the top of can after short time of heating try to f...

Re: Finished engine with useful work
Ante, My neighbour and myself are working on a similar thing. Goal is to have this thing working before mid june. We're planning to use a electromotor but this is a very simpel and elegant and clever solution. Why didn't I think of that myself, using a stirling to rotate the pig. Question : what ty...
