Hi Trevor !! I make the fins with a parting off blade . I think it's not run for a long time ! because all made of aluminum !!

Have just finished the crankshaft and fitted the bearing blocks into their seats. Don't let anyone tell you that crankshafts are easy to make - THEY AREN'T :wink: I had a hell of a time getting it straight after silver soldering it. I think there was to many cranks. At least it is done and straight...

I think :
Displacer cylinder: diameter : 108mm Displacer diamater: about 106mm is ok !
my stirling : cylinder diameter : 82 mm , displacer diameter : 80.4 mm

I use only Paint of windows - very easy and quickly !! ( no Adobe - Photoshop, CorelDRAW )

you do not find on google ??? has a lot of stirling engine bigger and is very useful for remote rural areas, but I can not do it because they need money and time !! solution to your opinion, I think Similar work by Trevor , it will be easier and should be able to be build in rural settings by people with a average level of mechanical knowledge and skills. but changed a little : it horizontally..

you can look at this solution, I think it would reduce the temperature of alloy top plate !!
