Mostly 3D printed Stirling engine

Post by dconner »

Hi,

I'm a new member here although I've been building Stirling engines for several years. I recently completed a low-temperature engine using mostly 3D printed parts and put a video and article about it on my website: http://www.solarheatengines.com/

I didn't really need to build another LTD Stirling (I would rather be working on a design that produces more power), but the offer to get the parts printed for free was too good to pass up. I'm using this engine as a test bed to try some new ideas to improve the heat transfer. This first engine version is a fairly standard LTD engine although it does have a regenerator.
