LTD Stirling Engine Plans

Post by jimlarsen »

I have been working on some new designs for home built LTD engines, and I finally have them finished! These four engines are all modeled after the traditional pancake style Stirling Engine (no regenerator), can be built without a machine shop, and if built well will run from the heat of a warm hand.

These engines incorporate the use of Teflon tubing as bearings and gland seals, and this is the key to the success of these designs. If I unload the flywheel and give it a spin, it will coast for a minute or more. The Teflon bearings are simple to build and the parts are not expensive.

The forum rules probably discourage selling products, so hopefully this announcement will be ok. If you would like to know more, search online for "More LTD Stirling Engines You Can Build Without a Machine Shop" by Jim R. Larsen. I'm always happy to provide a discount price for forum readers. Contact me if you would like a discount code. You must live in the delivery area of Amazon, however.
