I had an idea for a LTD Stirling Engine. Would it help to make the hot plate and the cold plate out of aluminum heat sink with the fins on the inside.
Mold the displacer to a shape that can go in the fins on both sides. I was thinking this would help to heat and cool the working fluid more rapidly.
