Dimensions and Auto CAD Drawings needed

Post by engr.mairy »

I am a final year student of Electrical Engineering at UET Taxila, Pakistan. My final year project is Solar Stirling Generator of 10 watts electrical power (DC) i.e just a small prototype generator. Main scheme is to build a solar Stirling engine and couple it with small DC generator.
I have almost no knowledge of designing a solar engine. If any body has done the project like this before please share the Dimensions and Drawings so that we can fabricate it with the help of machinist.
I only have knowledge of Electrical not mechanical.
Please help.

Hi,

First off I doubt anyone that has the CAD drawings for you to use.

Secondly if I had a set of CAD files I would have a commercial interest in them and not likely to share them for free.

Thirdly there is a set of detailed plans freely available for the walking beam engine which any machinist could use to reproduce. The whole point of those plans is so that others can build a Stirling engine that runs. Study them and adapt them to your needs. There are other engine plans out there on the net if the walking beam isn't your cup of tea.
