25 watt Stirling for sale
Re: 25 watt Stirling for sale
This is just my opinion. I don't think an engine that size can produce 25 watts without pressure.

It is not difficult to get a good estimate if the builder post the design of the engine and the material used.
Re: 25 watt Stirling for sale
Doesn't it look almost exactly like this engine? This video claims 100 watts

Re: 25 watt Stirling for sale
No way that engine can produce 100w.
Re: 25 watt Stirling for sale
Perhaps there is supposed to be a decimal point some where like 2.5w, 10.0w. I,m not too sure on the 5000rpm either, I think my all time high is about 2500rpm, speeds of 5000rpm and greater have be done, but that motor is fairly basic if the hot end is anything to go by.

Re: 25 watt Stirling for sale
Ian, are you referring to that utube video with Dan Rojas? That's one of Andy Ross's engines. The thing about stirling engines is that it is difficult to achieve any meaningful power without a water jacket. They might seem to have high power output when they are first run. Gradually, the cold cylinder soaks up the heat and temperature starts to go up and the thing becomes a dog.
