Roger

I like the way you have build the stirling engine out of scrap. Very well done!

Alex, its only scrap to the bloke that was chucking it out, it matters not where the stuff comes from, its often the only way to get some materials. Early in my time building hot air engines I wanted some 3/16" stainless steel tube, the only way I could get any was to order a box of it, 5000 metres of it, I only wanted 1 metre. A fortnight later, got a call from the warehouse to say someone had got a box, and I could have what ever I wanted. Still got some little bits around somewhere. Ian S C

just one question... where do you fine bearings so tiny?
one of ways :

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bearing-5-1-5-2 ... 2709wt_864

on ebay and deal extreme you can find lots of cheap elemens , I asume made in china :)

of course scrapyard is better way :)

Big letter FI (Ø) is sign for diameter, I don't know is that sign used in inch measures.

Dimensions are in mm because this bearing is part of RC helicopter, and bearing of OD 5" is little big :)
