simple model engine info required

Post by ROMI »

Hi,

Being new to this stirling engine, is there some good info on how to build one working model?
Not required to do any work, just to see it turning by the heat source.
Don't want to buy one already done (even a kit) from ebay, as I want to build it myself, to understand better how it works.

Googling gives a million results, and when I go on some of them, it looks like they are more concerned to boast how great it is, ...blah...blah....blah...

I thought maybe this site has got a ...how to build a simple engine.... section dedicated to people new into it.

Thanks for advice.

This very site does indeed have plans for a simple walking beam engine, they're here : http://www.boydhouse.com/stirling/htmls ... index.html. I think those plans cover pretty much everything you need.
