These might be interesting as hot displacer cylinders for a larger Stirling engine, sold as stainless steel "time capsules" in various size diameters, 3", 5",, 6" a bit expensive, between $50 - $80 or so, depending on size.
About the same cost as an old SS fire extinguisher, but probably not as much of a hassle (removing hoses and junk and plugging unwanted holes...)
Probably not as heavy duty SS though. The fire extinguisher is intended to withstand pressurization. Probably not necessary though, for a Stirling engine, thinner might be better, although I don't know for sure, might even be thicker.
