Reversible Stirling Cycle

Okay does anyone here know anything about the reversible Stirling cycle with regeneration? I'm talking about the ideal thermodynamic concept.
I need some more information on the regenerator, how it works etc. Does the size/material matter? Any links appreciated, I haven't been able to find anything myself.
